The Story
An undercover assassin is on a mission to knock out her marks, but things turn upside down when a guild of enemy assassins is after her bounty. She runs into two mysterious men along her journey, both claiming to be trustworthy, but their secrets could lead her deeper into trouble.
The Protagonist
She did what any ordinary girl would do when mourning the death of their lover. She became a belly dancer at a shady tavern outside the city and devised a hit list to eliminate the individuals involved with the incident.
She's got heterochromia iridis, with vision entirely lost in her left eye. She doesn't let that stop her from becoming a notorious assassin. Spunky, and albeit a little bit sassy, she isn't the kind that'll take 'no' for an answer. She'll tear down the Laithen empire, brick by brick, until she finds every last one of her marks.

The Dust Hunter
It's natural to be drawn to a man with an air of mystery around him, a man that leaves you with more questions than answers—like his face or his name, for example. He's hiding something. And the only thing more suspicious than a man with skeletons in his closet is a man who refuses to admit it.
Despite that, he's quick-witted, cunning, well-versed, and kind. Iris would do well with a partner like that at her side. He claims to want to protect Iris from the guild, yet he can't even reveal something as simple as his name. He certainly finds Iris... intriguing. Can she trust him to guide her out of trouble? |
Seth Salazar
Seth is a cold-blooded imperial assassin, Iris's natural-born enemy—not to mention he's sarcastic and often crass. He's a playboy with a devil-may-care way of life, and his sardonic sense of humor is all but obnoxious to deal with when you're trying to outrun the guild and kill your marks.
Despite all that, it feels like there's another side to him that Iris is drawn to. And he, on the other hand, finds her amusing. Perhaps he isn't as heartless as he seems, and if he claims to have the strength and loyalty to stand in as her partner in crime, then maybe he can help her survive this mess? |

Mara Sasan
A hot-headed soldier with a knack for baking cute treats, she's got what it takes to fill the role of Iris's best friend. Sure she's a little bit over the top with her eccentric mannerisms and her tendency to pry into Iris's love life, but deep down, she wants what's best for Iris.
Zhaara
"Old Lady" is the nickname Iris uses when referring to Zhaara, the mysterious fortune-teller. She refers to herself as Iris's fairy-godmother, but the paths Zhaara takes Iris on are far from traditional fairy tales.

He's been the brother of the pack since day one. He's known for his muscles and his love for deep-fried chicken. Sure he is a little bit of a class clown, but that doesn't mean he isn't serious about his friends. Should anyone wish harm upon them, he won't hesitate to raise hell.
Malzahar Sinbad
The aristocrat of the group. It has piqued the curiosity of more than a few who have passed by the Nohirian bazaar to witness a Sinbad lounging with those hooligans. But Malzahar, despite his status, finds comfort in the company of his good friends, and perhaps it alleviates the pain of losing his best friend.
